Landlord Legislation
Changes in the law mean there is more responsibility than ever on landlords to ensure properties are electrically sound. We keep on top of the legislation and can advise you on exactly what you need to do to comply.
We have a skilled team of electricians who can complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) to ensure you meet the electrical regulations of being a landlord and your property is electrically safe for the rental market. The law meaning landlords with any new tenants must have regularly reviewed EICRs came into effect on the 1st July 2020, it’s amazing how many people still need to do this!
Our dedicated office team can also let you know when any of these needs renewing and the most cost effective ways to keep on top on any electrical improvements needed.
We can also support you to think about how to best plan the electrical systems in your House of Multiple Occupancies (HMO’s), including what you need to know about the regulations and being creative with the spaces that you have.
